It's almost Christmas!

Even though Kara doesn't understand Christmas and she says "scary" when she sees Santa Claus, she's getting the hang of wrapping.

What a gift!

I love Baby Ben

Ben's First Week

Ben is a great baby... he eats and sleeps well.

Kara is loving Ben.  She likes to kiss him, hold him and smoosh her head against his.  So sweet.

Happy Birthday to Kara!

Kara turned two on December 1st.  We had a small family celebration at the hospital...

and cupcakes and ice cream with her friends at daycare.  And even though she was a little sick, she enjoyed her strawberry ice cream.  That's our girl!!  

Welcoming Ben

Ben was born on November 29th at 2:18pm.  He weighed 7 lbs. 10 oz. and measured 20 inches long.

Kara was happy to finally see her baby brother!  She is gentle with him and likes to help whenever she can...

We came home on Monday... let the fun begin!

Halloween

Kara dressed up as Kanga and even had her Roo!

She helped decorate pumpkins, which she calls "halloweens".

Pampa's Helper

Kara visited Grandma & Grandpa and got her first lesson in picking peaches...

Hugs for the Wa-Wa

Kara wanted to hold these three dogs and would not let them go.

So they got to hear bedtime stories and got kisses goodnight...

...and slept tight.

Kara loves water...

whether it's in a bucket,

 

in the ocean,

or up to her knees.

She loves to splash around.

Visiting Sea Creatures

We took our first trip to the Long Beach Aquarium...

and though Kara liked seeing the sea creatures,

she really loved the water!

And had no issues with getting wet.

Summer time!

Nothing like a slice of watermelon on a hot day...

Here I Am!

Kara puts a large bucket over her head and we ask, "Where's Kara?  I can't see Kara..."

and she lifts the bucket up and says "AAH!" as if to say, "Here I am!"

Her own sense of style

Kara contemplates if it is it too much to go around the head, across the body and then around the tummy...

and decides to keep it simple so as not to detract from the rest of her outfit.

Kara visited her friend Kenji and got to play with him in the sand.

And then a co-ed outdoor bocha!

Kara is going  to be a big sister!  The baby's due date is December 10th.... Kara's due date was December 14th and she was born on the December 1st- we hope Kara won't have to share her birthday!
