We are very excited that Ben has shown interest in potty training. For the last couple of weeks, he's been able to tell us that he needs to pee and goes in the toilet or a cup. He's happy when he gets a chance to wear his big-boy underwear.
When Kara got to wear underwear, one of her first pair had Minnie Mouse on the back and we said, "Big Minnie on the tay-tay" referring to her bootie. So Ben now says, "Lightning on the tay-tay" and is happy to show it off!
Today, Ben did poop in the toilet and as promised, he got some ice cream to celebrate!
We are all learning the differences of potty training a boy... I thought it would be functionally easier with a boy, but I don't think so now. In any case, we're all very proud of Ben and hopeful we won't be buying two sizes of diapers when the new baby is born.
