Boys' Day

Since May 5th is Boys' Day, we put up a few Japanese carp, not necessarily in their traditional form...

I think Kara thought we just went fishing...

Ben found two new things he likes - guacamole and the mariachi band that was playing for Cinco de Mayo!

A Big Day for Kara

Kara had her first visit with a dentist today and got a great report - clean teeth with no 'sugar bites'! She also visited the preschool she'll be starting in the summer and she had fun with the teachers and kids and made an alphabet necklace. Her reward after all of this?? Some special gummie bears.

For the record, she did not eat all of them and she brushed her teeth after consumption.

Artists at Work

Kara likes to paint and is very precise and careful with what she's doing.

Ben joined in on the fun and created his own masterpiece.

He was very excited about his accomplishment...

And like the girl that she is, when asked to sit by Ben for a picture, she said "Okay, but Ben is real dirty."

Picnic Pics

Ben got a haircut to look good for the Parlier Picnic. We all had fun visiting relatives, seeing old friends and meeting some new ones.

Kara and Daddy...

Kids and ice...

and a day with Grandma 'Rene is always a good one.

Parlier Picnic Run

Since she could walk, we've practiced our "Parlier Picnic Run" with Kara in preparation for the annual community picnic.

She may not always be the first one across the finish line, but she definitley has the biggest smile!

Happy Easter

This year Ben was able to walk around and find his own eggs, and though he's quick, Kara was quicker.

So she ended up with a basket full of eggs, especially because she insisted that all the pink ones were hers as well.

Even so, Ben managed to gather enough eggs to fill his own basket.

Hope you had a hoppy one!
